Who are the homeless?  People just like you. They work, pay their bills, and pay their mortgage or rent, until something unexpected or disastrous happens. Suddenly they find themselves without enough money to cover those bills.  Given the high cost of housing in our region, they sometimes lose their home and are often too embarrassed to ask for help. 

We serve both single and dual-parent families. Homelessness disrupts virtually every aspect of our guests’ family life, occasionally damaging the physical and/or emotional health of all family members.  It interferes with children's education and development, and frequently results in the separation of family members.  It can be a devastating experience.
