1.What is IHN-ML?
IHN-ML is a non-profit organization which unites people from different segments of our caring community to work collaboratively to alleviate suffering of homeless families. 

2. Are there many homeless families in our area on the Main Line?
There are 700-900 families in our three county area including the Main Line. 

3. Do you have to be a certain religion to be a member or volunteer of IHN-ML? 
No.  IHN-ML is not a religious organization.  IHN-ML gets the majority of its volunteers from faith-based organizations because they have a strong desire to help and a built-in volunteer base. 

4. Where are IHN-ML programs offered?
The IHN-ML life skills center is located in Norristown.  The center serves as home base, providing guests with a mailing address and a phone number for housing and employment searches.  It’s also a place to shower and do laundry.

6. What is the role of congregational volunteers? 
Volunteers cook and serve meals, play and interact with the children, as well as provide emotional support to guests.

9. What are the requirements to become a volunteer?
To have a heart and a willingness to help others. 

10. What programs does IHN-ML offer to help families?
IHN-ML offers 1) Temporary overnight accomodations, meals, and volunteer support for up to 90 days 2) Educational opportunities, Employment Training, and affordable Housing searches to rebuild families stability 3) A proven Self-Sufficiency model that includes, one on one case management, classes in Budgeting, Parenting and Life Skills as well as GED Certification and higher Educational Training to break the cycle of homelessness. Families save 80% of their income while they are guests of IHN-ML in order to solidify their financial foundation.

11. What is the success rate of IHN-ML clients?
IHN-ML takes pride in its 83% success rate in facilitating the families’ return to self sufficiency. Success is due to an additional 2 year Mentoring Program provided to guests after graduating the program.
